I've been listening to quite a lot of new albums but haven't the time to review any. This new piece form Iron Maiden however, preety much tops the list. Being their 14th studio album, "A Matter of Life and Death" is a concept album about war at over 70 minutes long.
Track Listing:
1. Different World
2. These Colours Don't Run
3. Brighter Than a Thousand Suns
4. Pilgrim
5. Longest Day
6. Out of the Shadows
7. Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg
8. For the Greater Good of God
9. Lord of Light
10. Legacy
The songs are heavy and pounding with the expected Maiden gallop, Bruce's voice cuts through and the riff's and solos storm. They have proved again that they are the masters of tuneful, complex and intelligent metal that is well composed. They have delivered the anti war/religion message in an incredibly neutral, kinda provoking, intelligent and inoffensive way when you come across the lyrics.
